Model service is unavailable
Symptoms
A configured provider is unavailable, credential checks fail, or requests cannot reach the upstream service.
Check
- Open Model Services and verify the service is enabled and its provider, endpoint, and required credentials are correct.
- For a remote endpoint, check reachability from the machine or Server process that makes the request, not only from your browser.
- Confirm the provider account permits the selected API and model; a valid URL alone does not prove upstream access.
- Review the request record to distinguish service connection failure from model selection, key scope, or client connection failure.
Resolution
Correct the service's provider settings and credentials, save them, then test with one intended model and a permitted key. Do not paste provider secrets into support messages or client configs.
Escalate if still stuck
Capture the service name, selected provider/model, release, and redacted request error. See Request history and Diagnostics .
