Server binary

The Server binary is a standalone Stravia service with an embedded management UI. Choose an archive for the Server host's operating system and architecture; clients can run on other machines.

Before you download

Open the GitHub Releases page and select the matching Server archive. As observed on 2026-10-02, the public v0.3.1 release listed Windows ZIP and Linux GNU tar assets. Verify the downloaded asset against that release's SHA256SUMS; a matching checksum confirms the download, not its source commit.

Prepare a fresh local run

For Windows x86_64, extract stravia-server-v0.3.1-windows-x86_64.zip and use a new data directory. The Quick start page gives a PowerShell example that refuses to reuse an existing path and binds to 127.0.0.1.

Start the server only after selecting a data location you intend to keep. The default listener is 127.0.0.1:23471; explicit host, port, data directory, database and management-origin settings are operator choices. Do not point a first-run command at data you already use.

Complete setup and verify

Keep the process console available, open the local /setup page, claim that process's one-time token, test the selected database, and create the administrator. Then sign in and send a request through an enabled Model ID. Health probes alone do not show that a model is ready.

If startup fails

Review the Server output and configured database. Do not delete data when the process reports an old or incompatible layout; this release does not silently replace that data with an empty database. For a recovery or migration operation, use only the procedure documented for the installed release.
